About Us

While traveling through Morocco in 2016, we fell in love with the gorgeous indigo color of the traditional Berber scarves prevalent in the region. The only other place we had ever seen such a beautiful color was on the wings of Blue Morpho butterflies. I was instantly captivated and in love with the idea for Blu Butterfly as a luxury goods company with an emphasis on exquisite at home and travel friendly products. This company was born from my wanderlust and determination to travel the world with luxurious, lightweight and multi-purpose items that would fulfill my needs and wouldn’t weigh me down. From the South African bush to the red sands of the Sahara desert, to the crystal clear aqua waters of the Maldives and the powder white beaches of the Seychelles, I draw inspiration from nature and seek to curate products that epitomize the essence of easy, elegant, effective and  luxurious travel. I want people to feel alluring and their most beautiful selves while taking the aggravation out of travel with a carefully curated selection of wearables, beauty and wellness items, skincare and jewelry.
